Funerals and Memorials

I offer ceremonies mainly within an hour of Derry City, but if you feel very strongly please feel free to call if you are outside this area.

The Celebration of a Life

As a celebrant I create comforting and respectful end of life ceremonies that hold real meaning for the person, their loved ones and attendees.

When someone close to us passes, I believe it is so important to come together to say goodbye and grieve in the way that feels comfortable for us.

Uniquely, a celebrant led ceremony is free to fully reflect the wishes, beliefs and personality of your loved one, whether that be religious, spiritual or neither.

I will listen to you with sensitivity, write from the heart and conduct the ceremony with warmth and compassion.

Funeral Ceremony

A spiritual or civil ceremony fitting with the beliefs and values of the deceased.

As a celebrant I can conduct your funeral at any location; a home, a funeral home, cemetery, crematorium, even a beautiful outdoor space.

The ceremonies I lead are carefully created to honour the wishes of the person who has passed, hold space for contributions from loved ones and reassuringly lead attendees through the experience.

Memorial

You can trust me to create a Memorial ceremony with the wishes, beliefs and values of you and your loved one in mind.

As a celebrant I can conduct your memorial at any location; a home, a funeral home, graveside, even a beautiful outdoor space.

The ceremonies I lead are generally a small gathering of loved ones, brought together to appreciate and honour the person who has passed and share stories on a journey based on the The Elemental Wheel.

Earth: What was your beloved like during their time on Earth? A time for loved ones to share stories.

Water: How do you feel about the passing of your loved one? A time for a moment of silence and an emotional share for those who feel to do so.

Fire: Do you have any stories to share about your loved one? What did the enjoy? A time for storytelling and reminiscing.

Air: A beautiful time to say goodbye.

Passing Over

A Passing Over Ceremony can be performed when a loved one passes, before, after or in place of a funeral. This rite of passage brings family and friends of the departed together, helping them to say goodbye.

The intimate ceremony helps those present to share their grief, love, feelings and emotions in an authentic and safe way, while releasing the departed onwards.

Everyone present will have the opportunity to share stories and memories, feelings and grief, or choose to stay silent and quietly reflect on what the departed meant to them.

The ceremony is structured with a foundation in The Elemental Wheel.
Air: A time to return the beloved back to the ether, and say goodbye.
